STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Be Bold in Bright and Black

I caught this Fashionista on the University of Cincinnati’s campus sporting a bright on black look. Her bright blue, sleeveless, tie-front blouse and contrasting black shorts and sandals caught my attention. I love her loose locks that fall effortlessly, the perfect summer hairstyle!

Bright on black is a trend I love because it makes such a statement. This trend is the perfect way for you to stand out on campus this summer. Bright and black is also a super easy trend to wear because you can easily pull pieces out of your closet to create the look. Try a little black dress with a bright colored scarf, black jeans with a neon top, or even a colored dress with some black stilettos. The possibilities are endless when it comes to wearing bright and black.

As for colored pieces, I love for everything fun. Try out these bright green pumps that could easily make a fantastic statement against a black outfit. I also love this bright blue top from Piperlime, a perfect summer to fall transition piece. You might also want to check out all of these bright and colored jeans from Forever 21, my favorite pair is the bright pink ones. They are the perfect way to let your girly personality shine through.
