STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Black, White and Red (Not all Over)

I spotted this Fashionisto from afar, and after nearly being run over by a golf cart, I chased him down Hayden mall only to almost be stung by a bee in order to take his photograph; however, the trouble was most certainly worth it! His look is so great. This week’s Fashionisto daringly sported some graphic cotton pants with a simple, black v-neck shirt. He polished his look off with fabulous accessories; those patent-and-cloth oxfords, gorgeous leather bag, white-capped sunglasses and unique, red beaded necklace really made this ASU freshman’s look something to take note of. I really love that the accessories really polished the look off. I also enjoy that this Fashionisto was able to take something as bold as those pants and style them to make an easily wearable outfit for school.

My style advice for this week is to try wearing a black-and-white ensemble ,but add an accessory like jewelry, shoes or bag in a bright color. Using a two-toned color palate in the clothing is crucial, and keep in mind that if you do a really graphic-print bottom like this Fashionisto did, pair it with a solid color top. Use accessories as finishing pieces – choose something saturated in color for an inspiring overall look.

To recreate his look for us ladies, try doing these graphic leggings from American Apparel with this black tunic from Forever 21. To finish the look off try these oxfords from Urban Outfitters and for that little burst of color, the Unisex Circle Scarf in red is perfect. Also, a red lip could suffice for an unexpected pop of color. This look is bound to have your classmates tripping over golf carts for you. Have an awesome week Sun Devils.
