Recently, Fashionistas have been prancing around campus without their quintessential cold-weather outerwear, allowing their accessories to take the main stage. I was instantly impressed when I spotted this CollegeFashionista, who looked rather comfortable while wearing little more than a pair of jeans and a cotton-blend shirt. Her simple outfit included black leather wedge booties, skinny jeans in a black wash, a white shirt, her gorgeous vintage scarf and complementary jewelry. The adorned scarf, along with her mix of modern and vintage jewelry, is what really brought this outfit to life and upscaled her look from simple and pretty to chic and unique.
This fuchsia, blue and bright red silk scarf is enough on its own to take any outfit from drab to fab. Wearing a vintage scarf is a very easy and accessible way for CollegeFashionistas to dress up their look and add individuality to any outfit. This Fashionista chose to wear her scarf snug around her neck although it can also be wrapped loosely or worn untied altogether. This beautiful scarf was found at Flying A NYC in New York City for $25, but vintage scarves can be found in any secondhand store such as Lucky Vintage or your local Goodwill. With a Michael Kors watch, a vintage rock bracelet, a Ben Bridge knot ring and an orange, beaded bracelet from 31 bits, the jewelry worn by this CollegeFashionista also exuded classy, yet eclectic style.
It's never a bad idea to wear bold accessories with a streamlined outfit as done here. This white blouse is by Aqua and was found at Bloomingdales, but I also love this flowy version from Forever 21. These black wash jeans from Madewell also add a funky vibe to this outfit with their worn-in appeal. Finally, this pair of black wedge booties by Michael Kors are absolute perfection. Although they are no longer available, I fell equally in love with this beautiful pair by Dolce Vita. Pair your favorite statement jewelry and shoes with a simple outfit and you will undoubtedly feel chic and unique.
