STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Frame Your Face With Oversized Eyewear

Glasses, readers or frames as some call them, have become the newest go-to accessory among the CollegeFashionista crowd. No longer worn strictly for utility, glasses are now just one more piece of fashionable flare that can be added to your outfit. Whether you prefer big or small, thick or thin, brightly colored or neutral, wearing glasses is an easy way to add both polish and sophistication to any simple outfit. Partly mysterious and partly geek-chic, glasses are sure to bring out your inner librarian and frame your face in the most adorable way.

This CollegeFashionista caught my eye with her oversized Tom Ford eyewear from Shopbop and her stylish, yet casual, outfit as she was on her way to class. Wearing the perfect striped sweater, in navy and white, by Theyskens' Theory, wide-leg denim by 7 For All Mankind and black Steve Madden Wedges, this Fashionista's look is right on par.

Although these Tom Ford glasses are to-die-for, they may be a little overpriced for the average CollegeFashionista budget. I've recently fallen in love with this pair of oversized specs from Urban Outfitters for only $16. As for the striped sweater, similar versions are available everywhere from Forever 21 to Nordstrom. I would particularly love to don this chunky knit sweater by Hinge. As for the jeans, I can't get over this classic pair of dark wash denim by Kut from the Kloth. Finally, the shoes. It is hard to beat a Steve Madden deal, which is why I love this pair of black suede wedges that look almost identical to this Fashionista's pair with the addition of an ankle strap.

Then there's the jewelry. I admired this Fashionista's decision to wear simple, yet modern jewelry to accessorize the look. Wearing a J.Crew ring, Michael Kors watch and a monogrammed Jennifer Zeuner necklace, there's little room to go wrong. Combine fashion forward eyewear, an easy-to-wear outfit and classic jewelry and you'll be noticed by all Fashionistas alike.
