This summer’s fashion trends are really taking a step back as it brings in the old technique of crocheting. It started to appear in smaller pieces such as belts and scarves but it’s quickly transformed into a phenomenon. Easily designed and crafted to be worn as shoes, handbags, tops, bottoms, dresses , and accessories. I’d say it’s a fashion statement worth taking advantage of. Crochet designs are chic and cool; in more ways than one!
Today's Fashionista decided to have a little fun with this trend and opted for a bright green cotton racerback dress with crochet detailing at the top and back of the dress. A definite must when considering how to keep cool in this 90 degree weather. And to take things a step further and brighten up her day she wore neon yellow colored strapped sandals and finished things off with a pair of sunglasses with neon yellow trimming.
Dresses that are crochet can look whimsical or even sexy depending on how the dress it made. That’s what makes it a necessary item; you could wear it as a cover-up at the beach or a simple dress on a day out. If a dress is fully crocheted it gives the appearance of elegance and sophistication but if it only possesses crocheting in particular areas such as the sleeves, neckline or hemline it gives the dress an overall fun and carefree appearance. Because of its versatility crochet could probably carry itself into the fall season definitely making it a unique fashion trend.
