This Fashionista caught my eye this week with her smart, stylish look. The scarf stood out to me as she has styled it as if it were a tie which gives her outfit individuality! One of the fall trends around at the moment is one of the boys, which is female fashion taking inspiration from male clothing. This fashionista's outfit is on trend as she has mixed a shirt, blazer and scarf together to give it the dressed up look. She has also used the 'print and pattern' trend by adding a printed scarf. I love this leoaprd jacquard scarf from Topshop which is similar to Kate's as it has the print trend and the warm beige and brown colours.
Designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Moschino and Nicole Farhi showed their dressed up menswear designs on female models in their autumn/winter 2011/2012 collections. These designers filled the runway with black and white bow ties, suits, blazers and oversized shirts and coats. The basic colour pallet of black and white makes it easy to create an outfit with this trend. Zara is the best place to go if you are looking for garments in this trend category. Their new autumn/winter collection includes this mid-grey lantern coat which has a very similar shape to the Stella McCartney oversized coat for a much affordable price!
Style icon, Carrie Bradshaw, showed her masculine style in the Sex and the City 2 movie when she attends her friend's wedding as the best man wearing a black bow tie with a black and white suit. I love this trend and if it's good enough for Carrie Bradshaw then it's good enough for me!
