Here in the US, February 14th is drilled into our heads as the most romantic day of the year. For those in a relationship, this day is blissful and usually consists of flowers, chocolates and cheesy love letters. If you aren't in a relationship, this day means bonding with friends, watching chick flicks and bashing on all the boys who have broken your heart. Either way this day is widely celebrated with the color pink and red.
So, if you are like me and love getting into this somewhat corny holiday, then embrace the day by wearing your favorite hues of pink and red.
For those wanting to celebrate the holiday in a not so obvious way, look towards today's Fashionista for inspiration on how to wear pink in a subtle manner. Usually this color can come off a bit-strong so choosing softer hues of pink, as seen in this Fashionista's scarf, allows you to wear this feminine color quietly.
Hint: Another great way to wear pink without being over the top is through your lipstick choice. A favorite of mine is Givenchy's shocking pink. And if you love pink and can't get enough of it, take note from Jil Sander's spring 2011 collection where the bolder the better.
