STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Playful Spectacles

You know that saying, “Act your age, not your shoe size.” Well that doesn’t apply when it comes to heart shaped sunglasses. In fact, this spring I encourage you to dress your shoe size and not your age. Playful accessories like these Fashionista’s sunglasses are perfect and appropriate for the spring season. Celebrities like Madonna, Vanessa Hudgens and Katy Perry would all agree that heart shaped sunglasses with the right outfit are like the cherry on top of a cake for spring street styles. To rock these sweetheart shades all you really need is confidence!

Another sunglass trend for this spring that made a blast from the past are cat eye sunglasses. These shades depict the glamorous trends of the '50s and '60s worn by the classy Audrey Hepburn and sexy Marilyn Monroe. Cat eye sunglasses are the purrrrfect finishing touches to a savvy and sophisticated look.

What is so fantastic about both of these sunglasses is they are wearable for a wide range of faces. They also come in a wide array of prices. Christian Dior, Giles Decan and Thakoon all featured these flirty shades in their spring 2011 shows. But don’t fret if your not willing to throw down big bucks on your sunglasses because stores or brands like Urban Outfitters and Lolita (Nicole Richie’s favorite) have cat eye and heart shaped sunglasses for less than $20!
