It’s already second week of spring quarter! How and when did this happen? There’s just not enough time to sit back and relax as everyone shuffles around between classes, meetings and work. One of the best parts about walking around campus is when I come across a Fashionista who knows how to look chic and comfortable in her outfit.
This week’s Fashionista keeps a ladylike look as she covers herself in ruffles. She plays on the feminine look with her ruffled, salmon scarf and her sheer dress with ruffle trimmings at the bottom. From the runway this season, ruffles were a popular addition to the ready-to-wear designs as showcased by Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce&Gabbana and L’Wren Scott. This Fashionista completes her own ready-to-wear look with an army green jacket, black tights and a pair of ankle suede gray boots. To add some pattern to her wardrobe, she carries a sea blue and white tribal print over-the-shoulder bag. Even though this Fashionista is busy going about her day, she still manages to put on an outfit worth a second glance for anyone walking past her.
Hint: For some ruffled items, check out Banana Republic for this two colored dye scarf, this flower patterned top from Anthropologie, or a Piperlime black maxi dress that is sure to go well with any cardigan or accessories. If you want to add some flair to your feet, check out these ruffled flats, or these Kelsi Dagger ankle boots.
