As I’m sure all you fabulous Fashionistas/os know Fashion’s Night Out was September 10. Celebrities, designers, and shopaholics of all ages participated in this event to celebrate fashion. Even though there was a ton of buzz in NYC this event took place in Australia, China, United Kingdom, and numerous other countries. Fashion week also kicked off September 9th in New York City showing off all the hot trends to come in spring 2011. With all the excitement and energy generated from these two epic fashion events, the University of Iowa became a catwalk of style as well!
This Fashionista followed in the footsteps of Jessica Alba by wearing a sparkled out top. Although she wasn’t at FNO in SoHo she pulled off the look like a true star. Her top is so unique and versatile. You can dress it up by pairing it with a black dress, similar to this Fashionista, or to make the top a little more casual pair with distressed jeans. You can also show off some skin wearing it with jeans due to the cropped hem. This Fashionista’s shirt was designed by Haute Hippie, but for more affordable options check out Forever 21.
Just remember although we’re in Iowa City, which isn’t thought of as the fashion capitol of the world, doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate fashion. No matter what you’re wearing if you pair it with the confidence of a superstar you’ll shine like one!
