There is beauty in simplicity. This is a beautiful motto all of us often forget to embrace. Fashion is a whirlwind of excitement all the time, with new patterns, cuts and trends emerging at every moment. At times, the desire to experiment with too many trends at once does not result in a stylish outfit but rather in a flurry of madness and furthermore tackiness. The key to avoiding this style mistake is by not being afraid to stick to some closet staples while still incorporating something that is trending. One of my favorite closet staples is the V-neck shirt, as it is a style that is flattering on every body type. Recently, this cut of shirt has manifested itself into one of the hottest styles for dresses. As London slowly transitions into summer, temperatures are fluctuating throughout the day and it can be difficult to plan accordingly. In the morning it may be sunny and warm, seeming like an ideal day to take out that summer dress. However, by the afternoon it is highly possible that the rain clouds decided to roll in, dropping the temperature and completely changing weather. This Fashionista made the conscious decision of playing it safe by wearing a pair of jeans, yet still feeling a tad bit summery by pairing them with strappy sandals and a sleeveless cowl neck shirt. Before the day took a turn, her outfit fit it perfectly, but as the clouds came in she was able to grab her go-to cardigan to throw on over her shirt. It is always a good idea to have a cardigan such as this Fashionista’s to be able to throw into your purse at the beginning of the day, even if it doesn’t seem like you will need it. You never know where you could end up or what the weather could do later on and trust me, you’d rather be prepared.

Kent students are approaching the halfway point of summer session classes. Reading textbooks and completing assignments are daily tasks required of them. Occupying summer days in a classroom won't produce much inspiration for ostentatious fashion. Students are using their boring school environment to embrace simplistic style with a comfort quality. This fashion is ideal when your day involves sitting at a desk and jotting down notes.
