Those of you who are avid readers of my column may notice that my photos come from ALL over the place. I travel frequently and try to capture Fashionistas/os wherever I go to show the fashion that exists worldwide. It seems that no matter what campus you are on, there will be college students dressed impeccably.
When attending our October Juicy Couture event in Washington D.C., I took a brief stroll around Georgetown Universty's campus. Not only was I enthralled with the architectural design of the school and the colonial influence that is present in Georgetown but let me tell you, Georgetown University students know how to dress.
Take for example today's Fashionista, who I literally chased across campus to snap her photo. From the checkered pattern to the oxford flats, her overall look screamed preppy but not in a traditional sense of the word. Rather then being ultra conservative, this Fashionista’s look incorporated a mini dress and black opaque tights. I liked the way this Fashionista played with different lengths between her short dress and long cardigan.
The definite take home point of this Fashionista's wardrobe is her opaque tights. Usually, Fashionistas store their tights away for evening wear and hitting the bars with friends. But I see no reason why you can't wear dresses and tights during the daytime. So if you're feeling bored of pants and leggings, try substituting your classroom look with a pair of tights!
