Prints aren’t the only thing getting the all-over treatment this season. Velvets in an array of dark, sombre colours have been focal to the fall/winter fashion shows like Burberry Prorsum, Paul Smith and Topshop Unique. Thus, while the thought of velvet might bring the images of medieval royal velvet gowns, there are plenty of chic modern options for lovely and luxurious look.
Today’s Fashionista cleverly combines blue velvet top with neutral ensemble of blacks to make a well-balanced rebellious statement. I admire the way this Fashionista uses simple lines and textures to obtain edgy and at the same time sophisticated look.
Another thing that caught my attention when talking to today’s Fashionista is the great Underground creeper shoes that I have been eyeing with curiosity for a while now. Creepers, which have their origins in the years following the Second World War and clothed the feet of Teds, Punks and Rockers, this season are the bold accessory for edgy rock and punk chic look.
