Finally the winter has actually turned into winter! This weekend was a snowy wonderland in New England, but that does not mean Fashionistas were not looking their best. Even when the weather is dreary, you can still put together a cute outfit by incorporating weather appropriate accessories.
This Fashionista stayed styling by pairing rain boots, a down parka and a knit headband. She looks particularly cute because all of her colors complement each other. Having a down parka is a must if you live in an area where the weather gets nippy; her parka is from Calvin Klein and is a beige tone. It features a full hood with fur to keep her head warm while walking to class and is also weather resistant so she doesn’t have to worry about staying snowy while sitting at her desk. This Fashionista is also wearing Burberry rain boots in the traditional print; these rain boots are an investment, but you can get similar ones at Bakers or even Target that are super cute if you don’t want to splurge. I love that she wore a knit headband, which acts as a cute accessory and also keeps her ears warm. Forever 21 has great knit headbands, and matching scarves for under $10. Also, sunglasses are not just for when the sun is shining in the summer. It is very bright out when it snows — so put on your shades, it will also cover up running eye make up if the snow is in full force.
Another tip for the snow is not to wear jeans; leggings or knit pants are much more comfortable and, in case your coat isn’t as long as this Fashionistas, you don’t have to worry about your pants getting as heavy as jeans do when they get wet.
So, if you are about to brace the white weather, be sure to bundle up with accessories and stay cute.
