Style Guru Bio: Harriet Robinson

Hey Fashionistas! My name is Harriet Grace Robinson and this will be my second term writing for CollegeFashionista for the University of Kent. I am studying Journalism and the News Industry at the Medway campus. My two passions in life are writing and fashion.

I love the way that I dress and I think others should feel the same. I like to wear various different styles and items, but the main criteria for my clothes are that each garment makes me feel fabulous and at the same time fits well for my shape. I also like to wear a lot of colour as I think it’s a great way to show your personality and brighten up a dull outfit.

I try to follow the current trends but put my own twist on it. I like to stand out and wear quirky pieces that are unique and interesting. It can be difficult to keep on top on trends if all you have to live off is a student loan. I find the key thing is to buy statement pieces you can mix and match.

My favourite place to find clothes are in charity shops. I also tend to go searching through my mum’s old wardrobe to find some vintage pieces. After all, the '70s look is set to be big for the spring/summer!

Style on,

Style Guru Bio: Kathryn Botvin

I am a senior at Cornell University, majoring in Nutritional Science. Originally from Scarsdale, New York, I spend most of my time in New York City admiring the many diverse and innovative fashions of the streetwalkers. Aside from working for CollegeFashionista last summer, I recently interned in the accessories department at SELF Magazine in NYC, where I acquired my great love for costume jewelry and learned a very valuable lesson: an accessory truly can make an outfit! I am extremely excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and am looking forward to capturing all of the style stars on the Cornell campus this summer!
