With the site showing off a fabulous new skin, Style Guru’s debuting in different campuses all over the nation, and yet still remains to instill a chic perspective… suddenly a great attention has highlighted this via online sensation. College Fashionista only knows one way up the stairs and darling’s things are definitely looking up. I, Marko Alejo, am no stranger to these introductions. As the FIDM Los Angeles Style Guru and student the progression that surrounds me relays much excitement and a lot of inspiration. I’m still all about the model off duty, embracing your inner child, savvy steals, and statement pieces with a background history. I’m finishing up my last few quarters as a Visual Communications Major, working for Madewell eagerly anticipating the arrival of our new Alexa Chung Collection, and still on passionate focus on becoming a Nylon Magazine hopeful along with my other industry aspirations. Not much of my esthetics has changed but what has evolved is my understanding of how vital it is to raise your voice. No matter how little you think it is someone is listening. Style is a great form of communication it’s all around us everyday the trick is finding a moment to actually realize something and someone fantastic is right in front of you. With fall and winter slowly but surely coming I can’t wait to see “the elite” display the wonderful ensembles that only appear when temperatures go down. Let’s see socks with booties, over sized sweaters, outerwear, wrapped scarves, metallic and the leather. Everyone has a story to tell I just want to able to click it and type it so it doesn’t get overlooked.
