Hi – I’m Abby Elconin. I’m from Minneapolis and a senior at UW-Madison where my major is Retailing with an emphasis in fashion. I admit it—my earliest memories are of me changing outfits five or six times a day—playing dress up was a way of life. To this day, I still have that same insatiable appetite for everything fashion. It is my creative outlet and my favorite way of self expression.
Over the past few years, I’ve been exploring different areas of the fashion industry to find the best job fit for me after college. On my semester abroad in London last spring, I was a fashion intern at Halpern PR and took European Fashion Studies and Visual Merchandising at the London College of Fashion. I also have fashion retail experience at a couple different stores. And as you probably guessed, I am a fashion blog addict and can’t wait to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team, as well as the ever growing online fashion community.
My style is always evolving. However, I find myself drawn to the '70s for inspiration and adhere to the view one cannot go wrong with some really great basics. Shoes are my all time favorite thing; they can truly make or break the outfit. Trend forecasting is where my passion lies, and I look forward to sharing with you the latest fashions from the streets of Madison!
