Style Guru Bio: Alexa Aldrich

I have had an obsession with style for as long as I can remember. Whether it was dressing up my Barbie dolls or picking out clothes for my friends, I have always enjoyed the satisfaction of putting together a stylish ensemble. While I started out silently judging outfits I saw on the street, my observations quickly turned into an obsession with street style. To me, style seen on the streets and amongst my peers, is the most relevant and wearable fashion inspiration.

This is why I am eager to continue writing for CollegeFashionista at Boston University. I am currently a sophomore in the School of Management. I can frequently be seen in the line at Starbucks or checking out the latest blog updates. I have a long list of random interests including black and white movies, cupcakes, and The Twilight Zone. However, my biggest passion is fashion (sorry for the cheesy line) and all things style related.

Reflecting on this past semester of street style at Boston University is a somewhat nostalgic experience for me. While Commonwealth Avenue was inundated with Fashionistas donning their hippest army-inspired jackets, Zoe-inspired fur vests, and fabulous standout coats, I was able to introduce some of BU’s most noticeable style-setters to CollegeFashionista and its readers. Writing for the website has opened my eyes to all of the unique and chic fashions around campus. I look forward to the upcoming semester and to seeing what trends Boston University’s finest will sport in the coming seasons.
