My name is Amanda Sater, and I am a senior majoring in Journalism with a focus on magazines at the University of Florida. Since I was eight I've been filling sketchbooks with clothing designs and experimenting with my personal style. I loved the way clothes could transform the way I looked. It wasn’t long after I figured out that I wanted to work in the fashion industry. It was this enthusiasm for fashion that led me to CollegeFashionista. I get so much inspiration from how the people around me dress and I feel privileged to be able to share what inspires me most: great clothes and fabulous style.
I’ve had previous experience at a women’s magazine, where I was able to get a behind the scenes look at how to run a magazine. I learned how to edit and promote a publication while also handling contacts. Armed with this valuable experience, I’m ready to delve deeper into the world of style.
If I were to describe my personal style, it would be fashion-forward with a mix of prep and classic touches. I don’t like to limit myself to any one style, however, so I try to bring different items into my wardrobe to add fun and creativity, something I believe personal style is all about.
I’m documenting the Fashionistos this spring, which allows me to see fashion through a new lens, not just the lens of my camera. Sharing men’s styles that inspire me will hopefully inspire you to try new things with your wardrobe.
