Style Guru Bio: Angela Domingo

Greetings from Toronto, Fashionistas/os!

My name is Angela, and I'm happy to bring you the campus style finds from our little corner of the world.

My love for clothing and style has been a life-long affair. I've studied unrelated things in school (English and Philosophy for now), but my interest in fashion was born when I was a toddler watching my mom sew my playsuits for me and my sister and has remained constant (Thanks, mom!). My favorite thing about fashion and dressing up is that it's such an original and interesting avenue for expression. We may never get to meet everyone we pass on the street everyday, but we do get a look into what they may be like based on how they dress themselves, right? I know we can't judge a book by its cover, but I don't think that cover should just be ignored either. Many of us take pride in our clothing choices and in what we choose to wear, not because of any labels or brands, but because it's our way of expressing ourselves and sharing that little bit of our lives with the world. I'm a big fan of that sort of expression, and I'm glad we have a venue to share it here at CollegeFashionista.

My personal fashion gurus (other than the fantastic ones here at CF) include Kate Bosworth, Camilla Belle, Jessica Stam, Olivia Palermo, and the fabulous Giovanna Battaglia. You may not know it from looking at me, though, because I am most at home in my mercifully slim pants and basic v-neck tee. I also think that sky-high heels, bracelets (especially meaningful ones given as presents), and the slightest hint of your favorite perfume are the best accessories.

Outside of clothing and fashion, I have a passion for football (soccer, not lemon ball), tennis, film, and television. I also have a weakness for office supplies, coconut, architecture, and Old Spice.

At the top of my ever-growing list of dream men, I proudly (and longingly) include Yoann Gourcuff, Raul Gonzalez, Spain's national football team, Rafa Nadal, Matthew Gray Gubler, James Franco, James Bond, Eddie Redmayne, and that gentleman I passed on the subway the other day rocking those chinos and aviators like it was his job. Emma Thompson is my hero.

I will be bringing you style that catches my eye. I don't have many rules as far as fashion goes, so I appreciate different approaches, as long as they're carried with confidence! I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, so I'll be doing my best to share what I see with you. 🙂
