Hello Fashionista/o's! In the fall, I will be a junior at Indiana University majoring in Apparel Merchandising with a Business Marketing minor. As I was growing up in Indiana, I quickly realized that I was far away from the fashion capital. Luckily I lived close enough to the Chicago area, which allowed me to gain some insight into the fashion world.
The beauty of fashion lies within the eyes of the beholder. There is nothing quite like the feeling of finding that perfect top, dress, or pair of pants for an unbelievably low price. It feels like you are cheating the system but in reality, the game is referred to as "bargain hunting." Challenging myself to find a unique outfit on a $30 and under budget helps me get creative with what I decide to wear. Whether it is ruffles and lace to bring out my femininity or animal prints and cargo to bring out my inner adventurer, fashion is an expression of my personality. For the summer season, my must have favorites include: rompers, blazers, the color turquoise, and abstract or bold prints.
I look forward to spending the summer with all of you and remember, dress to impress!
