When I think of what it means to have style, I think of a person who is not afraid of taking risks. Following a trend is easy, but making that trend your own with a few personal touches is what makes an individual shine. Fashionista’s are dynamic individuals who know how to make a collection of outfits with few pieces of clothing or accessories. The best part about fashion is you don’t have to be rich to look like a million bucks! It is all about how you work with what you have and acquiring an eye for top notch bargains.
My name is Whitney Aring and I am a senior at Colorado State University studying Public Relations. I started my academic journey as a fashion design major, but found my true passion was in marketing and communications. I knew I could always find my way back to the wonderful world of fashion through my PR studies and professional experiences.
I would label my fashion sense as “practical with a little flare.” I am always on the go and I need my style to keep up! Fashionistas I admire are Blake Lively, Whitney Port, and Jennifer Carpenter just to name a few. Why? Because they are not afraid to be unique and they know what styles fit their body type best.
I am thrilled to recognize local FOCO Fashionistas and Fashionistos and show you the latest trends occurring on our very campus this Fall 2010. Lookout trend setters, here I come!
