I am Erin, a senior at the George Washington University double majoring in International Affairs and English. While my passion for cultural studies led me to the nation’s capital, my obsession with style has allowed me to embrace the flourishing fashion community within Washington D.C. and beyond.
Raised a mere twenty-five minutes outside of New York City, I have been fortunate to have the luxury of Madison Avenue and the downtown edge of Soho at my fingertips. Several frequent shopping trips and city visits later, my creativity and fascination for style truly developed. While New York City has always been my Mecca, living in D.C. has proved that fashion actually exists outside of Manhattan’s borders.
Having lived in two of the major fashion capitols of the world, New York City and Paris, as well as traveling throughout Europe, has truly established my international love for style. Throughout my travels, I have learned that people around the world are willing to take major fashion risks; the Parisians flaunt platforms and fur (regardless of weather) twenty-four seven, the British have translated tartan from picnic to perfect and the Italians seriously know their leather, all trends that have inspired my style.
From interning at designers Christian Louboutin, Oscar de la Renta and Moschino to publications like Teen Vogue, The Washington Post and Refinery29, my personal style has been completely defined- there is no such thing as too much fur, leopard is definitely a neutral, my soles must always be red and if there are no spikes, then no thanks!
