I am Erin, a senior at the George Washington University, double majoring in International Affairs and English. While my passion for cultural studies led me to the nation’s capital, my obsession with style has allowed me to embrace the growing fashion community in Washington DC and beyond.
Growing up a mere twenty-five minutes outside of New York City, I have been fortunate to have the luxury of Madison Avenue, the art of the Met and the downtown edge of Soho at my fingertips. Frequent shopping trips and gallery visits later, my creativity and fascination for style truly developed.
After spending the spring semester abroad studying and interning for Oscar de la Renta in Paris, I learned that the Parisians are willing to take major fashion risks, mixing patterns on patterns, rocking menswear and sporting platforms and fur (regardless of weather) twenty-four/seven; all trends I have adopted now back in the United States.
From interning at designers Christian Louboutin and Moschino to my internship this past summer with Teen Vogue’s Accessories Director, I’ve realized there is nothing I love more than a good pair of heels, leopard overload, oversized sunglasses and anything Marc Jacobs.
My motto? If the shoe fits, buy it in every color!
