I’m Hilary, a junior Journalism major on the magazine track with a Spanish minor at the University of Maryland. This semester, I am studying Spanish abroad at the University of Alcalá, in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid. I am so excited to be sharing their unique sense of fashion (lots of floral and cheetah print leggings!), along with the other international students in the city. If I had the budget, I would be a walking catalogue model for J.Crew or Anthropologie. I try to keep things classic with darker wash jeans, waist-cinching skirts, and solid color tops with trendy or bold accessories. I like to wear black, white, or neutral earth tones, with one accessory or piece that pops with color, which, I admit, is usually purple. I love looking for pieces similar to the celeb trends at much cheaper prices, à la People’s Style Watch. I can usually find doppleganger fashion at H&M or Forever21, but now that I am in Spain I will be including pieces from Mango and Zara as well. There are muchas rebajas (MAJOR SALES!) going on in Spain until the end of January, so I have got to get my shopping on!
