In life we are constantly looking at the future, because it’s better than looking at the past. But, sometimes looking back into that past isn’t so bad. When I think of the past years, fashion was beautiful in each era, it retained something that now we look forward to. Fashion may be changing, but it’s just a renovation of the past, and that’s a memory to look forward to.
Just like fashion has its era, my style has changed over the years and continues to evolve, as I get older. Being in the fashion world allows you to understand that you’re constantly reinventing outfits and personal style and because of this, I currently am a mixture of LA casual and NY chic with a twist of ballerina in each outfit. While I admire fashion-icons like Audrey Hepburn and Jackie-O for their classic elegance and poise, I think I can attribute my style more with Mary-Kate Olsen. My name may have come from a classic Spanish actress who was famous in 1987, and still is, but my style has a dash of classy in its own way. I like to really dress up for when it’s the appropriate time and look ravishing but dressing down for the day-to-day is just as fun as well.
After being in dance for so long, tights and leggings became a part of what I wore. They’re just so comfortable when worn correctly. But, I love mixing funky pieces and I never forget my jewelry (an obsession I’ve had since I was a little one). My favorite designers are Marc Jacobs, BCBG Max Azria, Lanvin and Yves Saint Laurent. These designers are all unique in their own way, and part of that uniqueness is inside of every single one of us. I am excited to keep a look out for those daring Fashionistas/os that exude in their brilliance.
