I have a passion for fashion and that passion continues to grow as I eagerly carry on the position of a CollegeFashionista Style Guru this spring! My name is Lindsay Reed and I am a sophomore at the Fashion Institute of Technology. My major is Fashion Design. I think it is an understatement to say that I love clothes! I am currently living in New York City and I love every minute of it. There is no place I’d rather be than the fashion capital of the world! I am always amazed by the opportunities this city presents to fashion students and how much I have grown over the past year by living here. From helping out at Lincoln Center during Fashion Week, to having my term garment displayed in the windows on 7th Avenue and 27th Street, this year has been nothing but inspiring thus far. I am enthusiastic to see where this unbelievable industry will take me. I know it won’t be easy, but I know it will all be worth it. Fashion runs through my veins and there really is no industry in which I would rather work. As Coco Chanel said, “fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Fashion truly surrounds my life in every aspect and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
