As an art enthusiast and aficionado for all things retro, I find my fashion inspiration in various kinds of mediums. Whether it be a particularly interesting outfit I see on the street or some thought-provoking sculpture I might find in a museum, I see fashion everywhere.
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but recently moved to Chicago to pursue an education in Journalism at Columbia College Chicago. I am currently a junior and plan to find a career in the world of print magazines — preferably in fashion.
As far as my personal style, I tend to be quite adventurous in some of my wardrobe choices. I'm not afraid to make a statement with my clothing and often latch on to trends that people are sometimes too scared to try out. Yes, you will find “hammer pants” in my closet.
For me, fashion and style is more than what clothes I decide to wear. It's more than what the latest trends are or what designer is “in.” For me, it is a confidence-booster because, like they say, when you look good, you feel good.
I am very excited about this internship with CollegeFashionista and hope that I am able to capture some of unique styles and inspiring people that seem to be in abundance at Columbia.
I can't wait to bring you the campus's best-dressed men in the weekly LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS column and look forward to seeing what this semester brings.
