Style Guru Bio: Michelle Gant

My name is Michelle and I’m so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista from the University of Oregon campus. I’m a sophomore at the UO with junior status. I plan to graduate a year early and begin my real-life career experience. I’m a Journalism major with a focus on Broadcast and Magazine and a Business minor.

I can honestly say my love for all things fashion and beauty began at an early age. I began dressing myself around age three and my favorite go-to outfit was a mini-skirt, “tight” tights and cowboy boots. From that point on, I have always spent way too much time shopping for the newest and coolest piece to add to my ever-expanding wardrobe. I spend hours reading any and every fashion magazine I can get my hands on and try to keep up with all the latest trends and fashion news. I love to be in the know and fashion is constantly changing and evolving.

My personal style is simple and classic. Although I like to experiment occasionally, I tend to be drawn towards the always-fashionable basics like cardigans, trench coats, pearls, pumps and structured bags. My favorite item is high heels, specifically platform pumps; the higher the heel, the better! I’m a huge fan of designer, especially Chanel, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs, but I’m great at finding cute items on a college girl’s budget. I love to find bargains at Target, Kohls, Macy’s, and outlet malls. My favorite place to find inspiration is from photos of celebs on the go living their daily lives.

I can’t wait to share my opinions and advice on fashion around the UO campus. I hope I can give you some new ideas or tips to try out and am so excited to finally have a place to talk about something I love so much!
