Hi everyone! I call myself Morgan Jordan and I study Graphic Design and Public Relations at American University in Washington, D.C. The capital is known for many things — amendments, monuments, and disagreements — but fashion certainly isn't one of them. However, I find myself constantly inspired by the Fashionistas and Fashionistos in the streets who completely break out of the power suit mold and bring their creativeness from other sources. This spring, I'll be studying abroad in Florence, Italy, diving into the fantastic artistic and fashion world of Europe.
Personally, I find myself to be a bipolar dresser: one day I'm in skulls and studs, the next I'm in lace and velvet. I've always found myself intrigued by fashion. Maybe it was mom, clad in all black, all couture and red lips. Maybe it was the artistry clothes can bring to everyday life. Or perhaps it was the fact that clothes tell someone immediately who you are without having to say anything at all.
To quote one of my favorite authors, Ayn Rand, "The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me." Be bold with your fashion choices — while I love to follow trends, it's always important to wear whatever feels the most like me. You should do the same!
