Hey there, Fashionistas/os, happy second semester! My name is Sally McHugh and I’m a sophomore Public Relations major at West Virginia University. I'm really excited to keep up with the Style Advice of the Week column for WVU.
Because I’m an Army brat, the question, “Where are you from?” has always been a hard one for me to answer, but for now I call Northern Virginia home. Moving around so much has given me a unique opportunity to experience the styles of many different people, groups, and cultures, which ultimately sparked my love for fashion.
My personal style morphs daily. One day my look is aimed towards classic and elegant, and the next trendy with a little bit of edge. Fashion is forever changing, and keeping up with new trends is a lifelong passion. Some of my favorite designers include Michael Kors, Donna Karen, and Vera Wang. Unfortunately, being a starving college student prevents me from indulging in my love for new clothes so I do most of my shopping at Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, or at my new obsession, ModCloth (whenever there’s a REALLY good sale). My philosophy is that you don't have to spend a lot to look like a million bucks!
