Originally from Rome, I now live in Chicago and attend Columbia College. I am earning my master’s degree in Journalism, with a focus on Public Affairs.
As I go from city hall meetings to press conferences all over Chicago, there could be no better occasion for me to display the best of my wardrobe. I hold a law degree from the University of Roma Tre in Rome, and speak fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese, ancient Latin and, of course, Italian.
One of my goals for 2012 is to learn French, so that I will be able to hit Paris Fashion Week! I have traveled around Europe, gathering style influences from all over the world. Although I love to discover new trends and outfits, I am very proud of my Italian origins and like to show off the best of the “made in Italy” parts of my collection.
Ever since I stopped wearing my school uniform, Italian fashion designers have inspired me to choose the right outfit for every occasion. Valentino tops the list of my favorite fashion designers, followed by Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Max Mara.
One of the professional experiences that I have enjoyed the most was when I had the opportunity to work as an assistant for the Russian fashion designer Yulia Yanina in 2010. Runways, dresses, models were the perfect setting for new and exciting experiences in the fashion world. I have been writing for the Italian publication 13 Magazine for 7 years and have experience covering fashion, politics, sports and travel.
I currently write for Chicagotalks.org and the travel section of the Examiner.com/Chicago.
My look is simple, yet sophisticated and my motto is “a dress for every occasion.” I love accessories and I never leave home without a great pair of earrings!
