TREND: All for One, One for All

The reign of the romper is here to stay, at least for this season. This Fashionista is casual and cozy in her red and white striped version, which she belts and pairs with an oversized sweater. Her scarf and necklace showcase her eccentric style.

While her look is a little bit mismatched, there are plenty of other chic ways to rock a onsie this spring without looking like a 5-year-old or a convict (note: full body jumpsuits in bright orange will never be in). Try a version in a cool pattern, like the “Calina” Silk Romper by Cynthia Steffe, the Racerback Romper by Silence & Noise or the Tie-Back Strapless Romper by Ecote. Wear your onesie of choice with a jean jacket. If it’s chilly outside, add tights and cool lace-up boots. However, if the weather is warm, wear some fun wedges instead. Patterned romper not your thing? Try a more basic look with a full on denim romper (in this case, ditch the jean jacket unless it is in a contrasting hue). Accessorize with an armful of tribal inspired bangles for a pulled together yet eclectic look.

For nighttime, glam up a plain, solid colored romper with bold accessories. I would wear this playful red romper with killer color blocked heels and big, gold earrings. This Leifsottir Matte Jersey Romper would look great with bright, sky-high wedges and a cool clutch.

All hail the romper, ruler of the 2011 trends. Whether you prefer pattered or plain, there are infinite ways to stand out in a onesie this season.
