Wearing a scarf around your neck when it’s warm and sunny out? No thank you. Wearing a headscarf under those heated rays? Absolutely! This Fashionista strategically and stylishly wraps this pink, fuchsia scarf around her head that pulls her hair back and out of her face. On a hot day your hair ends up in a messy knot on the top of your head anyway (you know it’s true) so why not pull it back to begin with and add a bold scarf? I dare you.
Okay, so the head wrap will add some extra heat to your body, which completely contradicts the initial purpose of it that I presented earlier, but when you’re looking fabulous who cares about my illogical theories, right? Just be sure to bring a bottle of water with you to cool down and keep hydrated. (That’s definitely a piece of advice that’s glitch-free.)
This Fashionista’s headscarf adds a bright pop to an otherwise color-less outfit. Wearing dark gray leopard-print leggings, a white tee, a leather vest and black sneakers she looks casual and put together. Her shirt floats off her hips and her vest buttons together at the smallest part of her waist; this combination works to create the most flattering silhouette. Any Fashionista who has learned how to dress her body is definitely CollegeFashionista worthy.
Hint: For a funky and chic but understated outfit, wear a colorful or patterned headscarf with good denim trousers and a white tee-shirt. For a resort-inspired look wear one with a summery frock and, of course, a pair of oversized shades. If you are skilled, a pashmina type scarf will work. If you’re an inexperienced head wrap wearer (it’s okay, most of us are) then a smaller silk scarf will be easier to work with. I can’t say whether or not manipulating a scarf into a head accessory takes more or less time than actually styling your hair, but I will say that practice makes perfect! Or, get yourself a hassle-free, pre-constructed that you simply tie like a shoe.
