TREND: Black and Bamboo?

Another New York Fashion Week has come and gone with different designers and brands showcasing their Fall 2011 collections. Even if Spring hasn't even arrived yet, the recent collections already had us wishing it was fall all over again! The different collections reflected an array of colors just as Pantone reported. The colors that they reported such as bamboo, deep teal and phlox were seen in the collections of The Row (by the Olsen Twins), Marc Jacobs and Tracy Reese respectively. And clearly, this Fashionista has been keeping track of what's been happening in the fashion world.

Her chunky knit sweater layered under her black coat was the epitome of chic and the color of her sweater, bamboo, made her outfit all the more on point with what's currently in right now. She balanced the volume of her sweater and coat with leggings that accented her slim legs, and ended it off with a pair of sparkly silver Chuck Taylors that perfectly complimented the neutral-ness of her outfit. It added the right spunk and attitude to what she's wearing, which also reflects her fun personality. And isn't that dressing is all about?

If there’s one trend to learn from this Fashionista, that will be to have fun dressing up! Dressing up is supposed to reflect who we are and not a way to hide from ourselves. Play with colors and pick the right shades that will perfectly compliment outrskin tone. The colors of fall that Pantone presented should only serve as guides and not as a set of rules to follow. Be who you are and show off your great personality! And that will forever be in
