Before I get sued for copyright infringement for this quote, I would like to already give credit where credit is due and it belongs to Mr. Louis Vuitton Don himself, Mr. Kanye West. In one of his infamous tweets, he said that “Black is the new Black” and he is right. Black will forever be considered as one of the underlying foundations for an outfit. For whatever reason we may be dressing up for (a casual date night or an elegant formal affair), the color black will never fail to keep up chic, stylish and trendy.
Just look various fashion shows throughout the years. There has never been a color more predominant than black. It can be seen year round season after season. It will never go out of style and our fashionista proves exactly why is that so. She is wearing an all black outfit that consists of boots, pants, top, bag and trench coat. Wearing all black can seem boring sometimes but our fashionista keeps it interesting adding a chunky knit off-white scarf as a nice touch and as a contrast to the all black. She cinches her trench coat at the waist that shows her figure underneath and makes the outfit look not sloppy at all (as sometimes perceived when someone wears all black).
Remember though, just because something is in the color black doesn’t mean it will flatter everyone. The cut of the top, dress, skirt and pants still matters. An example is our fashionista’s trend coat. It may flatter our fashionista well but this doesn’t mean it will also flatter someone who is petite for it will only overwhelm their small figutre. Make sure try on an outfit before buying in order to see if it is truly worth the investment or something that you will just regret along the way. We are still college students after all.
