TREND: Fall For It

I love that it's finally fall fashion time! It's the combination of so many old favorites of mine: cozy sweaters, slouchy boots, leggings, and breaking out my pea coat and scarves. This Fashionista gives a boho nod to fall fashion in neutral hues with simple accessories. She wears a tiny floral print bubble-hem dress, a wide brown belt at the waist, an open-faced ivory knit sweater, braided metallic headband, and silver sparkly thong sandals. She flatters her body type by balancing the loose grandpa style cardigan with a tighter fitting sweetheart neckline dress that's accentuated at the waist. The metallic copper headband and silver sandals add dimension and sparkle to the otherwise neutral look. This laidback look is just as suitable for walking to class as it is for jumping in that pile of crunchy leaves on the way there.

To achieve this look, first start with a dress in a fall-appropriate warm hue or tiny floral print in a length that comes closer to the knees. Throw on a loose drapey cardigan to keep you warm and to give you a cool downtown look. You can either belt it over the sweater, or underneath depending on what looks best on your body. For accessories, add a random assortment of bangles on your wrist, a braided or beaded hippie headband, and a leather cross-body bag. Gladiators or dressy sandals finish off the look and keep it feminine. Hopefully, you will fall in love with your new autumn style!
