Spring Break is coming around and the sun is coming out, which can only mean one thing: spring fashion! This Fashionista is taking advantage of the beautiful weather and put together a very chic ensemble. Although it seems really warm outside, it is only, in fact, 60 degrees, so we can’t bust out the t-shirts and shorts just yet. However, layering is always a nice little trick that allows you to dress lightly enough for the hottest time of day, while also giving you some warmth for chilly New York nights. A cropped leather jacket and a shirt dress with leggings is a perfect way to layer these pieces without bulking on too much or wearing too little.
We love how our Fashionista added an edge to her casual grey t-shirt dress with a blue plaid shirt layered underneath a black jacket. Her arrowed tights and black boots put the finishing touches on an outfit representing the grungy mood of students when they are walking to class or parties during IU’s winter months. Our Fashionista is ready to enjoy a comfortable, stylish night out in Bloomington!
Hint: Cha Cha on E. Kirkwood Ave. is displaying some new styled jackets on their shelves that will keep you warm and as always, prices will be affordable. Also check out Target or Urban Outfitters for flannel or plaid long-sleeve shirts to layer underneath your jacket.
Layering has become a big trend thanks to the Olsen twins with their long cardigans and boho style. Usually when you think of layering, you think of fall fashion and putting cardigans and sweaters over your tees. This Fashionista decided to try a different trend to layering by putting a basic tee UNDER her cute bright tank. This look works great in the fall when you want to show off your cute tanks but its too cold; just put a long sleeved layering tee underneath it!
Hint: This casual look works best with jeans. JBrand is a celebrity favorite because their jeans flatter all body types.
