It’s finals week Fashionista/os! You know what that means, summer is just a few days away! No more classes, no more exams, no more papers, and no more days living in Mugar! Time to get to the beach and fast!
Now that it’s May, I think it is safe to say that there isn’t going to be any more snow and hopefully a lot less rain, so let’s talk about looking chic for summer! This week’s Fashionista is rocking a classic summer style, the maxi dress. Personally this is one of my favorite summer trends and it is also a look loved by celebrities including Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum, Jessica Simpson, and the always-stylish Kate Hudson. Maxi dresses are great in the hot summer weather because they are comfortable and cool, and with the right accessories, they are very versatile pieces can be both dressed up for a night out with some wedges and jewelry, or dressed down for a casual beach day with some shades and sandals.

This Ecote Tiedye Maxi Dress is another one of my favorites and should definitely be paired with some fabulous oversized shades like these Pink Frame Large Round Sunglasses. Dresses aren’t the only way to take advantage of the maxi style, maxi skirts like this Cantina Wrap have the same free flowing feel but you can exercise your inner stylist and experiment with some different tops and blouses. This summer, take your style to the max, and add some maxi pieces to your summer collection.
