The aftermath of New York Fashion Week is almost more exciting than the actual week itself. Everyone is inspired by the new styles, and their ensembles reflect the upcoming trends. While it is still a long wait until spring, Fashionistas are already incorporating Fashion Week’s spring trends into their fall outfits. One of my favorite themes was shown in outfits composed entirely of pale colors and neutrals that walked down almost every runway. Designers such as Doo.Ri, Nicole Miller and Thakoon were attracted to these light colors, with some even showing outfits off all white.
This Fashionista’s nude leather jacket (almost identical to one shown at Alexander Wang), is a great reflection of spring’s pale colors. By pairing it with a white top and light wash shorts, she continues the soft color palette throughout her look. Her jacket is a great neutral that will prove to be fashionable in any coming season. To get a similar look, wear pastel pants with a neutral top and pale leather jacket. Finish your outfit with a cute pair of metallic flats, like our Fashionista, and your ensemble will look like it walked right off the runway.
Hint: For a super fresh and fashionable look, add a pop of color to your look through accessories. This trend was seen on several runways, including Altuzarra and Tommy Hilfiger, and is a great way to add playfulness to a neutral outfit. An easy way to do this is through accessories, like a yellow scarf or a pair of electric blue heels.
