TREND: Neutrals for Labor Day

We’ve all heard the debate about wearing white after Labor Day. Whether or not it is an acceptable thing to do in the fashion realm is up to each Fashionista or Fashionisto. However, one thing most Fashionistas/os can agree on is the beauty of neutrals. While summer brings in bright colors and bold patterns, neutrals can give everyone a nice break from the chaos just in time for fall. This Fashionisto used the perfect combination of neutrals, while also balancing his look with various textures and lines.

While reporting on a story for the Indiana Daily Student, the Fashionisto above was seen in perfect summer-to-fall transition pieces. A soft black V-neck tee and rolled pants work well together for the warm days and chilly nights at the end of summer and beginning of fall. To add a bit of flare to his look, this Fashionisto wore classic shoes, a chic newsboy cap, and a nice, textured messenger bag. The darker colors and neutral tones are what really pull this look together from head to toe.

To get this Fashionisto’s look, check out some of the following finds: A classic black V-neck and a pair of rolled denim shorts from Urban Outfitters, this pinstripe newsboy cap from 21Men, and canvas messenger bag to complete the look. So whether you’re going to class or having a cookout with friends, this Labor Day make sure to get out your neutrals to create a sophisticated, yet interesting look that’s perfect for autumn.
