It’s that time of year again for not only appreciating our country, but our country’s fantastic style! What better way to show off our patriotic pride and excellent fashion sense than a classic but understated, red, white, and blue look! July 4th isn’t just frightening sparkling flag bustiers (maybe only acceptably worn by Katy Perry/Lady Gaga…maybe), or tacky Uncle Sam hats, ya' know!
For that Sunday BBQ, party, concert, or even just chillin’ with your family watching “A Capital Fourth” (admit it, you totally do!) Why not try a pastel blazer? It’s classic, classy, and can be used all year round! You can go preppy and pair it with topsiders/shorts for guys or flats/skirt for girls. Wear it more relaxed with a fun sundress/sandals or jeans/sneaks. It is truly a chameleon of a piece that can be worn different ways for all sorts of styles to suit every taste.
I spotted this Fashionisto, and couldn’t resist snapping a picture of the dapper gent; I pulled out my camera right away so as not to lose the opportunity for this holiday edition! The pastel blazer works great for both ladies and gents! Here he pairs it with a simple red, white, and blue striped polo, light summer khakis, and some fantastic white dress shoes. His style is reminiscent of 80’s prep but with a hipper, cleaner feel (no guy-perms in sight!). What a great outfit, he’s definitely ready for any type of event, from a fun BBQ or a great night on the town! Happy July 4th, Fashionistas!
