Among all the popular patterns for winter like leopard spots, polka dots, fair isle and Breton stripes, it’s traditional plaid that reminds me most of the cold weather season. I begin to wonder why trends like plaid resurface the fashion scene season after season. This season I think it’s the casual print’s assortment of colors and versatility of style that has brought it back in trend once again. So Fashionistas and Fashionistos, it’s time to have a passion for plaid.
I found this Fashionista in a chic plaid jacket. She makes the jacket look laid-back paired with black denim pants and a simple white tee. I think denim and plaid look the best together so try and pair a plaid shirt with jeans. Stay laid-back like this Fashionista by wearing a simple black boot or white sneaker. If you want a more unique look try a plaid dress or skirt and wear it with a cool pair of tights. Keep in mind that plaid is already a bold pattern so try sticking only to plaid. In this case, less is more.
Hint: Fashionistos, make sure to get in on the plaid trend too! Try a plaid oxford with a pair of dark denim pants, or top of your outfit with a plaid scarf.
