TREND: Runway Sensation

Finally the forecast is changing, well at least for this week anyway! After battling a treacherous snow storm, students can store away  winter gear and throw on some spring styles . Today's Fashionista celebrates this climate transition wearing a vivacious selection of color.

This Fashionista certainly knows how to add a touch of spring to her look. She is spotted wearing an African inspired textile cardigan that is to die for. Notice how the colors and patten cohesively work together to create a fresh head turning look. This Fashionista ensemble resembles the color scheme of several spring 2011 runways. In fact, several designers of the infamous Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week showcased collections with a variety of orange pieces to complement the emerged nude craze. I must say I am a fan of earth tones with a hint of color. This Fashionista highlights this piece with dark contrast, wearing black legging and thigh high boots. To lightly accessorize, she adds a pair of shades and a scarf to safeguard from the sun and cool breeze. This Fashionista is evidently a runway trendsetter for the spring, and I'm taking notes!

Hint: To master this look I would definitely have a focal point. If your going to wear a heavily patterned or brightly colored top, it is crucial for the rest of your ensemble to work as the "framework", or in other words the background to your center piece. Pair your cardigan with nice basic pieces, so that the cardigan stands out. To purchase this jacket visit ASOS, and to buy basics like leggings, v-necks, and tanks try stores like Forever 21. Also, to purchase this Fashionista boots try one of my favorite shoe stores Aldo
