CollegeFashionista X Victoria’s Secret PINK Yoga Advertorial: Boston University

It is a new year and yet another year to roll out the yoga mat, feel the burn in the warrior pose and flow through the chaturanga dandasana. This is my year to say “bye bye” to those over-worn band tees and faded leggings, and practice yoga with style in Victoria’s Secret PINK Yoga Collection. The collection is all about mixing and matching the new Crop Yoga Legging and Boot-Cut Yoga Pant in eye-catching waistbands with colorful V-neck tees and half and full zips. These pieces are not only perfect for yoga class, but also for morning stretches in the dorm room and hitting the gym in the afternoon. Who says that the new Victoria’s Secret PINK Yoga is strictly for fitness? The vibrant Victoria’s Secret PINK essential V-neck Tees can be easily paired with a Victoria’s Secret PINK hoodie and black skinny jeans for class, or versatile enough to be tucked into a miniskirt and paired with wedge booties for a night out with the girls. I can not wait to color the rest of my year in Victoria’s Secret PINK Yoga Collection!

CollegeFashionista: Tell us about this look. What inspired you to style your yoga this way?

Julianna Flamio: When styling this look I was inspired to show off the bright colored stripes on the waistband of my PINK Crop Yoga Legging (in stores only). I paired the legging with a bright PINK V-Neck Tee and a gray Half-Zip Pullover. My utilitarian jacket and Converse low tops are both staples that add unexpected splashes of color to play off the waistband.

CF: You're off to the gym – how do you style your yoga?

JF: When going to the gym, otherwise known as FitRec here at BU, I like to style my yoga as simply as possible. My PINK Yoga Hoodie and a knit infinity scarf are both musts for bracing the long, cold walk to the gym in the dead of winter. My PINK Push-Up Yoga Bra, Boot Cut Yoga Pant, white and pink running sneakers and a black ribbed tank are perfect for jogging on the treadmill. To keep my hair out of the way I like to clip my bangs back with bobby pins and twist the rest into a neat, high bun.

CF: What about class or hanging with friends? How do you mix and match your yoga gear for a cool on the go style?

JF: What is so awesome about the PINK Yoga Collection is that I can disguise a workout outfit as a cool and stylish look for class, dinner with friends or even a shopping trip downtown. Instead of tights, I wear my PINK Crop Yoga Legging under a shirtdress or denim chambray with one of my PINK V-Neck Tees and a Push-Up Yoga Bra. To keep warm, I wear my Vasia by Ulla Johnson for Urban Outfitters faux fur vest and a knit beanie. A pair of tall black leather boots that hit just below the knee and leather satchel complete any look.

CF: What is your must-have from the PINK Yoga Collection?

JF: I feel most comfortable when I practice yoga in a legging and a loose tee. I love PINK’s Crop Yoga Legging and V-Neck Tees.

CF: We know you love your yoga, but how else do you like to stay fit and healthy?

JF: Over the course of this year, I have become obsessed with Zumba Fitness. There is nothing better than shaking your hips for an hour to Shakira and Pitbull! In the beginning of December, I made an early New Years Resolution to drink 2 liters of water a day. It’s been quite the challenge, but I feel significantly more energized and focused!
