Asymmetrical clothing has been in style for a while now. One shoulder shirts and dresses can be found in stores and on college campuses everywhere. However, this season’s styles are taking asymmetry in a different direction.
This Fashionista’s blouse is longer in the back than in the front. Asymmetrical hemlines are showing up on shirts, skirts, tank tops and dresses – adding movement and excitement to simple pieces.
This Fashionista’s blouse is from H&M. Paired with black skinny jeans and cut out oxfords, this outfit is sleek and visually interesting.
Cheap Monday also seems to be very focused on this trend for summer. Some of my favorite pieces are the brand’s skirts and dresses. Of course, one shoulder styles are still chic too! Especially when they are in bright colors.
Hint: An asymmetrical cut can be appreciated more when the clothing is a simple color or pattern. My dream outfit to combat the scorching summer heat is this dress and a floppy sun hat.
