When I think of Black Friday, I picture crowds of people pushing and shoving each other in a Macy’s. Doesn’t sound so fabulous, does it? But there are ways to avoid this frenzy and still get some great deals. Before you head out, you should research ads and discounts to your favorite stores and know what you want to purchase so you’re not overwhelmed in the midst of a million sales. Also, you may want to start this shopping adventure earlier in the morning to avoid mobs and receive the early bird specials. Many retail stores have a 10-20% off discount before 11AM. For those who plan to stay in Boston this Thanksgiving break, hit up the malls around the area such as Burlington Mall, Copley Place, Natick or the Chestnut Hill Mall. They all have a Black Friday Special from 6AM-10PM. And finally, WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES or you might actually shop ’til you drop.
P.S. Rumor has it that one of the Second Time Around stores on Newbury is having a blow out 50% off sale on most of its merchandise this Friday and Saturday. So for those Fashionistas out there who treasure vintage, this is the sale for you! Avoid the craze at the mall and get your hands on some designer clothing and accessories at a discounted price.
Hope you all have a successful shopping spree and a happy Thanksgiving!
Style On,
Erica
