There are always some trends that I’ve never understood, despite how popular they are. I’ve personally always had a disdain for the graphic tee, unless it was being worn to the gym or as loungewear. I truly believed that there was nothing chic or sophisticated about it, until I caught sight of this Fashionista. She effortlessly made her outfit both feminine and grungy with her graphic tee. Her skirt and long necklace kept her ensemble girly, but her oversized hoodie and studded bag added a little bit of edge to it as well. Wearing different shades of purple also helped keep focus on her black and white graphic tee, which I have now finally learned to appreciate. Her outfit is perfect for going to a concert in the city this weekend.
To get this Fashionista’s look, check out Urban Outfitters for some great graphic tee options. My top 3 choices are the "Peacock Forest" tee, "Raccoon Foil" tee, and the "Geo Tarantula" tee, all by Truly Madly Deeply. Karma Loop also has a lot of variety as well, with several different popular characters. My favorite is this Minnie Mouse tee by Joyrich, which would look great with leggings in the color of your choice. Don’t be afraid to go up a size in these tees either. If there’s one thing that this Fashionista taught me, it’s to be experimental – anything that you never thought could look chic definitely can, with the right amount of layering and accessories.
