WHAT TO WEAR: Out With Friends

There are few things that I love most about this blissful season. I love losing track of time, sun kissed hair and anchoring the boat where ever I want. I love spending my summer days in the sun, while I spend my nights out and about with my family and friends. Now that it’s summer, I reorganized my closet. I boxed all of my heavy sweaters and fur vests and in turn, pulled out my high-waisted shorts, loose tanks and lightweight skirts. It was a must for this beautiful weather and all the activities planned everyday this summer.

For beach/pool days, I tend to dress extremely casual. You’ll usually spot me in a topknot, wearing my Ray-Ban sunglasses and high-waisted shorts, paired with some kind of loose tank. For nights out, I definitely use it as an excuse to wear my wedges or heels. You’ll often see me rocking colorful statement pieces with a bright red or pink lipstick color, giving the right amount of girliness to my outfit.

For this Fashionista’s night out, she chose an outfit that was feminine, bright and fashionable. She slipped on an adorable, modern, blue miniskirt and paired it with a simple white tank. Her lightweight top is made up of a linen material, tied at the bottom giving this gal a more relaxed, chic look. This Fashionista added a little more height by wearing her black, inexpensive, strapped wedges. She gave herself a trendy sock bun hairstyle and added an adorable, chunky statement necklace. She wore these amazing cat eye sunglasses and rounded up her beautiful Marc Jacobs purse (which I drooled over). Compiling a simple skirt, loose tank, wedges and an adorable bag, this Fashionista created the perfect outfit for a night out and about.

I hope this style maven has shown you that it’s easy to put together a simple, trendy outfit. All you need to do is add a little color in your wardrobe and play with your height with either your hair or shoes.

One Simple Change: Avoiding blisters is important to many Fashionista/os, so switch out those too difficult to walk in shoes and try a fun, studded flat. It’ll give your ensemble a chic alternative with a tiny rocker twist.
